O's Reimold selected as AL's top rookie for JuneBaseball Betting Lines07/03/2009 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Baltimore Orioles outfielder Nolan Reimold has been selected as the American League Rookie of the Month for June. The 25-year-old hit .320 for the month, leading all Junior Circuit rookies with four home runs, adding nine RBI, 13 runs scored and 13 walks. The Pennsylvania native posted six multi-hit games, recording a career-best three hits on three separate occasions. As of the end of June, Reimold led all AL rookies in batting average (.296), homers (nine), RBI (20), slugging percentage (.533) and on-base percentage (.375). Others considered for the honor were a pair of pitchers: Toronto's Ricky Romero (3-1, 2.36 ERA) and Baltimore's Brad Bergesen (3-0, 2.23 ERA, 19 K in 36 1/3 innings).
